Vedant Financial Services respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it and what rights you have under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA).
- Scope
This policy applies to every investor, prospective investor and website visitor whose personal data we collect as an AMFI Registered Mutual Fund Distributor (ARN-161468).
- Information We Collect
Personal details such as name, address, date of birth, PAN, Aadhaar (for KYC), mobile number, email and bank account details. Financial details such as income range, existing investments, goals, investment horizon and risk profile responses. KYC documents such as PAN copy, address proof, photograph, cancelled cheque and FATCA/CRS self-declaration. Technical data such as IP address, browser and device details when you visit our website.
- Why We Collect It
To complete KYC as required by SEBI, PMLA and KRA rules; to assess your risk profile and suitability; to process Mutual Fund transactions through a Stock Exchange platform; to send statements, alerts and regulatory communications; to handle complaints; and to meet reporting requirements of SEBI, AMFI and AMCs.
- Whom We Share It With
With AMCs and their Registrars (CAMS, KFintech) to process transactions; with KYC Registration Agencies and CKYC for KYC verification; with the Stock Exchange platform used for order processing; with our back-office software provider for record keeping under a confidentiality agreement; and with SEBI, AMFI, AMCs and their appointed auditors when required by law. We do not sell, rent or share your data with any marketing agency or unrelated third party. Any other sharing happens only with your written consent.
- How We Protect It
Data is stored in password-protected systems with access limited to authorised persons. Physical documents are kept in locked storage. Devices use updated anti-virus software. Access is reviewed and revoked when a person leaves.
- How Long We Keep It
KYC and transaction records are retained for at least five years after the relationship ends, as required by PMLA and SEBI. After the retention period, records are securely destroyed.
- Your Rights
You may ask us to show the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or erase it once regulatory retention no longer applies. You may withdraw consent for processing that is not legally required. You may nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf. Requests are answered within 30 days.
- Cookies
Our website may use basic cookies to keep it working and to understand visitor traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser; some features may then not work.
