Fund Selection & Review Policy
Our Role
Vedant Financial Services distributes Regular Plans of Mutual Fund schemes of the AMCs with which it is empanelled. Any scheme suggestion is incidental to distribution and is made only within the investor’s risk category. The investment decision and the final order are always the investor’s own, confirmed through OTP on the Stock Exchange platform.
How Schemes Are Shortlisted
- Scheme category must match the investor’s goal, investment horizon and risk category.
- Scheme must be from an AMC with which we are empanelled and must be open for subscription.
- We look at the scheme’s stated objective, Riskometer, portfolio type, expense ratio, fund size and track record across market cycles, using AMC factsheets and public data.
- Three to four comparable schemes are shown to the investor; no scheme is presented as guaranteed or as the best.
- Direct Plans are not distributed by us; the investor is informed that Direct Plans are available directly from the AMC.
Checks Before Every Order
- KYC valid, PAN and FATCA on record.
- Risk profile current (not older than one year).
- Scheme within the allowed categories for the investor’s risk profile, or Unsuitability Communication signed.
- Payment from the investor’s own registered bank account.
- Investor has confirmed the order through OTP; confirmation saved in the investor file.
Review
Each investor’s holdings are reviewed once a year against their goals and current risk profile. The review notes whether the allocation still fits, whether any scheme has changed its category or objective, and whether any action is needed. The review record and the investor’s response are kept in the investor file. Investors may ask for a review at any time.
